Built in 2024, Sun Princess is the first ship in the fleet to be powered by Liquified Natural Gas (LNG). This cleaner burning fuel will significantly reduce air emissions and marine gasoil to minimize our environmental footprint. She is the third ship to be honored with the Sun Princess name, adding to the legacy of the first ship sailing from 1974 to 1988 and the second ship sailing from 1995 to 2020.

There are 2162 staterooms on board. The new SPHERE ships have oceanview cabins, as well as new types of suites that provide premium amenities and bonus perks such as an exclusive restaurant, lounge, bar, and sundeck.

This ship has the fleets first Park19, which is a 3-floor family themed activity zone. It includes a Rollglider (electric ride), Coastal Climb (ropes course), The Lookout (observation area), The Net (trekking facility), Infinite Horizon (stunning views), Hammock Area (relaxation deck), Splash Zone (aquapark), Recreational Court (multi-sports), and childrens facitilies which offer age-appropriate supervised activities.

The Dome is a glass-roof covered sundeck that at night transforms into an entertainment venue where the pool becomes a stage. New features for this class also include a 3-story high Piazza Atrium, new entertainment venues, new-design staterooms, and 29 bars/lounges/dining venues.

Nightly entertainment can be found at one of the many lounges and bars on board. The Princess Arena Theater is the main show lounge which offers nightly productions and is 2 decks high. There is also a casino, Princess Live! Lounge & Bar, Crooners Bar & Lounge, and Wheelhouse Bar & Lounge. For suite passengers there is a Signature Lounge that offers complimentary snacks and beverages.

The Lotus Spa is on 2 floors and has a Relax room, treatment rooms, Thermal suite, Hammam/Oriental Steam Room, Caldarium/aroma steam room, Laconium/sauna, aromatic Sensory Showers, and Hydro-therapy Pool (with 3 Whirlpools and cascading rain shower).

First two sailings cancelled. Maiden sailing changed to Feb 28, 2024.
