This ship is mid-sized, but very well designed. This was the first ship to offer Camp Ocean, which is the onboard kids club and it replaced Camp Carnival. Within the Seuss At Sea offerings, there is a reading room and and play space, parades, and plenty of activities that allows kids to be interactive and have everyone involved. Other activities for all ages include mini-golf, bingo, cooking demonstrations, and a video arcade.
This ship is very similar to Carnival Breeze, except the spa area is not as large on this ship.
Unique offerings include the SkyBox Sports Bar, Serenity adults-only Retreat, and Waterworks Water Slides. There are 2 main dining rooms on board, as well as many other casual options available.
CARNIVAL FREEDOM is the fifth Conquest class ships for Carnival, and will be joining the Conquest, Valor, Glory, and Liberty in the Carnival fleet. At 110,000 GRT and carrying 2,974 passengers, the Carnival Freedom is too large to pass through the Panama Canal.
During drydock 2/16/19-3/03/19 new shops were added to deck 5 including Carnival Adventures that sells swim shorts, sunscreen, snorkels and other gear. On starboard side of Lido Buffet Bonsai Sushi Express was added. The deli in the Lido Marketplace was rebranded with new food selections. The Less Stress Pool and hot tub on deck 10 were removed and Waterworks was added with a 203 foot long Aqua Tunnel slide and 212 foot long Twister slide and splash zone. The Spa Whirlpool was removed and replaced by a aerobic room. The mini golf course was moved from deck 11 to deck 12. The internet café was moved to the port side of deck 5.
Renovations completed during dry dock: 10/04/23-10/22/23:
- Routine hotel maintenance
- Cosmetic enhancements such as new carpeting and tiling, etc. in lounges and public areas
- New red, white and blue hull design and paint scheme
- Installed a new funnel
- Deck 3: Converted portion of Atrium into Dreams Studio
- Deck 5: Expanded the casino
- Deck 5: Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge (replaced SkyBox Sports Bar)
- Deck 5: JavaBlue Cafe (replced the Coffee Shop)
- Deck 11: Installed a dedicated Pickleball Court
