CARNIVAL PRIDE is one of the 8000 series of ships built by Carnival for their own use and for sister company Costa.

During drydock is 2/03/19-2/16/19 removed French doors in French door balconies and replaced with floor to ceiling window.

Completed during dry dock: 4/26/23-5/27/23:
- Routine hotel maintenance
- New red, white and blue hull design and paint scheme
- Cosmetic enhancements such as new carpeting and tiling, etc. in lounges and public areas
- 5 new cabins and dedicated Chefs Table added to deck 1 (replaced lower level of Nightclub)
- Dreams Studio added to deck 2
- Casino expanded (removed casino bar)
- Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge (replaced SkyBox Bar)
- Carnival Adventures Shop (replaced Card Room)
- Spa Carnival rebranded as Cloud 9 Spa
- Steakhouse rebranded as Fahrenheit 555

There are 1062 staterooms on board, with the largest being the Grand Suites. 80% of the cabins are on the outside.

Dining options on board include a main dining room, Normandie Restaurant, which has windows on 3 sides and accommodates 1000 cruisers at once. For a more casual meal, the Lido deck has various food stations, and the Mermaid Grille and Bistro offers buffet-style dining. Guys Burger Joint and BlueIguana Cantina are more unique offerings, but still on the casual side. Bonsai Sushi is a full Asian restaurant with a sushi bar, and Fahrenheight 555 is a fine dining steakhouse with a surcharge and reservations only.

Nightly entertainment can be found at the Taj Mahal Theater which offers grand scale productions, and during the day also offers game shows. Other bar, lounges, and entertainment venues include:

The children and teens will have plenty to do on this ship with Camp Carnival, which is a lounge area with supervised activities; Circle C which has video games, parties, movies, and planned activities; and Club 02 which is a teens lounge that offers karaoke, video games, and themed parties. They can also check out the Aqua Park which has a twister water slide and play area, the 24-hour video arcade, and the sports court and mini golf course.

Adults have their very own Serenity area which has a whirlpool, bar, and sunbathing area with loungers. They also can enjoy time at the Spa Complex, which offers steam rooms, saunas, whirlpool, treatment rooms, a beauty salon, and fitness center.
