The Adventure of the Seas started sailing in 2001 . Former names: none. The Adventure of the Seas is registered in Nassau, Bahamas. The Adventure of the Seas has 1691 cabins. 46 percent of the staterooms on board have balconies.

You can expect between 3382 to 4058 passengers on a typical sailing. This means that at the higher number (usually peak and holiday sailings) Adventure of the Seas has a space ratio of 33.8 . (A space ratio less than 33 means that you may find the ship crowded in areas. A space ratio greater than 39 means that there should be plenty of space for each passenger.) When this ship isn't sailing at capacity the space ratio can be as good as 40.6.

The Adventure of the Seas has 1180 crew members on board. There are 3 passengers for every crew member on board. There are no self serve laundromats on this cruise ship.

The ship last major refurbishment was in Nov 2016 .

There are 15 decks on this ship. The highest deck number is 15. The number of decks with passenger cabins is 8.

The following ships share the same class as this ship. This means the basic design and layout of the ship is the same. For the most part the cabins will be identical among these ships, but may be decorated differently.
1999 - Voyager of the Seas
2000 - Explorer of the Seas
2001 - Adventure of the Seas
2002 - Navigator of the Seas
2003 - Mariner of the Seas

There are 27 special needs cabins on this ship. These cabins have been modified for accessibility purposes.

ADVENTURE OF THE SEAS is the 3rd of 4 ships built in the Voyager Class. The other ships in the series are EXPLORER, VOYAGER and the forthcoming final sister NAVIGATOR.

A drydock in November 2016 added a FlowRider, Chops Grille, and Boleros. Also added Typhoon and Cyclone water slides and splash bay park for kids. The mini-golf course was moved and expanded to two decks, making it the first two level golf course for Royal Caribbean. The library was moved to deck 5 to create a larger library card room. The drydock was scaled back and at some future date the ship will add 100 new staterooms and Izumi.
