Carnival Dream 6 Upper (deck) Cabin Guru
Here are some tips that you should keep in mind when looking for cabins on this deck. There may be other issues that we haven't noted, and if you are aware of any issues we have not listed, please contact us and let us know so that we can add it to the list.* Cabins 6241 to aft on the starboard side and cabins 6238 to aft on the port side are above the outside promenade deck. As a result the balconies are less private and noise may come from walkers on deck below.
* Aft facing balconies overlook exterior promenade on deck below and balconies will feel less private and noise from walkers may be a concern. Part of the balconies of these cabins can also be viewed by cabins on deck above.
* Watch cabins around 6331, 6326, 6453, 6422. These cabins are above outdoor hot tub and there is usually activity in those tubs.
* All aft cabins on this deck beginning with 6412 and back are above night lounges and may experience noise coming from that area into the late night.
* Balconies of cabins 6460, 6468, 6493, 6499 are extended. This means that they are twice as long as normal balconies and sometimes referred to as "Bowling Alley" balconies.
* Forward facing inside cabins actually have a window with obstructed view. There is a deck outside of the cabin window that gets occasional use.
* Balconies that face aft of ship tend to be warmer than other balconies during cold weather crusing.
* Forward cabins on this deck are above or below the main theater and may have noise from stage production shows or practice shows.
The cruise line separates the different categories (Inside, Oceanview, Balcony) into subcategories. The only difference in the subcategories is usually location on the ship. The detail above shows subcategory color, category name, and subcategory name. For detailed information, mouse over a cabin on the deck plans and a pop up window will appear.
You will find diagrams, pictures and information about that cabin category including square footage and
features.
Carnival uses a two digit code for its stateroom categories. The first letter represents the type of cabin. 1=Small Interior, 4=Interior, 6=Oceanview, 7=Cove Balcony, 8=Balcony, 9=Premium Balcony. The second letter represents the desired location with A being the least desirable.
As an example a 4J (Interior cabin) is in a more desirable location than a 4A (Interior cabin).
