This a picture looking in the opposite direction. You can now see the sofa and the closet.
The balcony has a door that opens outward (not a slider). It has two chairs and a small table. There is a clear see through railing.
Some balconies will look out over the top of lifeboats.
Extended balconies are a little wider than normal balconies. This picture is of cabin 8169 on the Legend which is an extended balcony.
If you look closely at the partition of this balcony you will see that it can open up to the balcony next door. This is a good way to join two balconies together if you would like.
This is a picture of a normal size balcony.
The closet has lots of shelves for storing clothing and other items.
There is also a hair dryer in the cabin.
You may even find a make up mirror.
Aft facing balconies are popular, but one thing to keep in mind is that the divider goes up at a angle and therefore you can view the balcony of the cabin next to yours.
This is a view of a balcony that is partly obstructed by a lifeboat.
If you shop well there are also hidden gems. This is a extended balcony on the Miracle and is twice as wide as normal balconies.
The cabin configuration of those hidden gems may also be different. This is cabin 6234 on the Miracle.
In some balcony cabins there will be a pullman. This is a bed that pulls down from the ceiling when needed. A ladder is provided. In this picture the pullman is over the sofa which is also being used as a bed.
On this type of ships, some cabins are indented. That means that they sit back further from the edge of the ship. This will offer some protection from wind, but also the view looking down may be obstructed by lifeboats.
Here is a good picture showing the closet space in a balcony cabin.

The cabin hairdryer.
There is a mini-fridge in the cabin. It is stocked with items you can purchase.
Each balcony cabin has its own climate control.
