The Quantum of the Seas started sailing in 2014 . Former names: none. The Quantum of the Seas is registered in Nassau, Bahamas. The Quantum of the Seas has 2095 cabins. 75 percent of the staterooms on board have balconies.

You can expect between 4190 to 4819 passengers on a typical sailing. This means that at the higher number (usually peak and holiday sailings) Quantum of the Seas has a space ratio of 35 . (A space ratio less than 33 means that you may find the ship crowded in areas. A space ratio greater than 39 means that there should be plenty of space for each passenger.) When this ship isn't sailing at capacity the space ratio can be as good as 40.3.

The Quantum of the Seas has 1300 crew members on board. There are 4 passengers for every crew member on board. There are no self serve laundromats on this cruise ship.

There are 16 decks on this ship. The highest deck number is 16. The number of decks with passenger cabins is 9.

The following ships share the same class as this ship. This means the basic design and layout of the ship is the same. For the most part the cabins will be identical among these ships, but may be decorated differently.
2014 - Quantum of the Seas
2015 - Anthem of the Seas
2016 - Ovation of the Seas
2019 - Spectrum of the Seas

There are 34 special needs cabins on this ship. These cabins have been modified for accessibility purposes.

The Quantum class of ships is a new leap forward in vessel design with groundbreaking innovations like RipCord by iFly, the first skydiving experience at sea. And the North Star, a jewel-shaped, glass capsule with a spectacular ocean view. Plus, we're introducing transformational venues like the Seaplex and Two70 that morph from day to night. All these new onboard features are designed to elicit just one reaction from you: WOW.

The cruise line seperates the different categories (Inside, Oceanview, Balcony) into subcategories. The only difference in the subcategories is usually location on the ship. The detail above shows subcategory color, category name, and subcategory name. For detailed information, mouse over a cabin on the deck plans and a pop up window will appear. You will find diagrams, pictures and information about that cabin category including square footage and features.

Royal Caribbean uses a number followed by letter to denote the type of cabin. Cabins are ranked from the lowest number first to the highest number and also from the lowest letter first to the highest letter. Therefore a category that begins with 1 is consider a better cabin choice than one that begins with 3. The type of cabin is defined by the letter that appears after the number.

Letters Q and R define a spacious inside cabin that is good for families. Letter T defines a promenade view stateroom. Letters U,V,W define a interior cabin.

Spacious oceanview cabins are defined by letter K. Panoramic oceanview cabins are defined with the letters P and L. Letters M, N defines a Oceanview cabin. Letter S defines a boardwalk view cabin.

Family balconies are defined by the letter A. Spacious balconies are defined by the letter B. Regular balcony cabins use the letters C,D,E,F. A Boardwalk view balcony uses the letters I,J.

Here are some tips that you should keep in mind when looking for cabins on this deck. There may be other issues that we haven't noted, and if you are aware of any issues we have not listed, please contact us and let us know so that we can add it to the list.

Deck: Deck 6
* The forward first 6 balconies on both the port and starboard side of the ship have larger balconies and clear views to the sea looking straight down from the balcony.
* All cabins on this deck are above public areas on the deck below, and except for the forward cabins near the theater and the aft cabins near Two70, noise from those areas should be minimal.
* All indented cabins (where the deck narrows) have obstructed views. Most look out at top of lifeboats (coming up to railing height) or lifeboat lifts (will obstruct view looking out). Other cabins have view obstucted by deck below when looking straight down to sea.
* Keep in mind that indented cabins close to where the deck first narrows will have more obstructed view when looking to one side of the balcony
* The hump cabins (middle part of where deck is wide) have good clear views down to the sea from balcony.
* Cabins that are most affected by life boats davits are 6562, 6572, 6574, 6586, 6588, 6590, 6602, 6604, 6616, 6618, 6632, 6660, 6662, 6672, 6688, 6698, 6700, and 6710 on the starboard side.
* Cabins that are most affected by life boats davits are 6162, 6172, 6174, 6186, 6188, 6190, 6202, 6204, 6216, 6218, 6232, 6260, 6262, 6272, 6288, 6298, 6300 and 6310 on the port side.
* Forward cabins on this deck are above or below the main theater and may have noise from stage production shows or practice shows.
