The cruise line seperates the different categories (Inside, Oceanview, Balcony) into subcategories. The only difference in the subcategories is usually location on the ship. The detail above shows subcategory color, category name, and subcategory name. For detailed information, mouse over a cabin on the deck plans and a pop up window will appear. You will find diagrams, pictures and information about that cabin category including square footage and features.

Royal Caribbean uses a number followed by letter to denote the type of cabin. Cabins are ranked from the lowest number first to the highest number and also from the lowest letter first to the highest letter. Therefore a category that begins with 1 is consider a better cabin choice than one that begins with 3. The type of cabin is defined by the letter that appears after the number.

Letters Q and R define a spacious inside cabin that is good for families. Letter T defines a promenade view stateroom. Letters U,V,W define a interior cabin.

Spacious oceanview cabins are defined by letter K. Panoramic oceanview cabins are defined with the letters P and L. Letters M, N defines a Oceanview cabin. Letter S defines a boardwalk view cabin.

Family balconies are defined by the letter A. Spacious balconies are defined by the letter B. Regular balcony cabins use the letters C,D,E,F. A Boardwalk view balcony uses the letters I,J.

Here are some tips that you should keep in mind when looking for cabins on this deck. There may be other issues that we haven't noted, and if you are aware of any issues we have not listed, please contact us and let us know so that we can add it to the list.

Deck: Deck 13
* Indented cabins on this deck (where the deck narrows) will have obstructed views (lifeboats, deck, metal roof in aft) when looking straight down at sea.
* Indented balconies will also have obstructed view from other balconies when looking to one side of the ship from the balcony. This means for example that you may not be able to see straight along the ship to the bridge or to the aft of the ship from your balcony.
* The hump cabins (middle part of where deck is wide) have good clear views down to the sea from balcony.
* Cabins 13712 to aft on the starboard side and cabins 13312 to aft on the port side will view down on large metal roof from deck 7 below
* Cabins on both side of ship that are close to bridge will have view partly obstructed by bridge when looking to one side of the balcony.
* Forward balcony cabins on both side of the ship are close to a viewing platform on top of the bridge and will have view obstructed by platform when looking to the side and also may have privacy issues when platform is in use.
* There is a large overhang from the deck above that will shade all indented balconies (where the deck narrows).
