Dance club venue situated between the Boardwalk (Deck 6) and Central Park (Deck 8) and aimed towards the slightly older guests. Spanning three decks and accommodating 222 passengers, it overlooks the Boardwalk from a two-level-high window and features white and purple armchairs throughout the club, which makes the place a comfortable venue to sit and listen to a live band. A host of entertainment takes place in Dazzles from pre-dinner dancing and ballroom dancing to big band music, Rock 'n' roll dance parties, 80's theme nights and the Majority Rules game show. During the day, Dazzles is open for guests to take in the view of the bustling activity on the Boardwalk over a drink or learn a new dance move with a professional dance instructor.

Cabin Check Tool

This tool will help you see what is on the deck above and the deck below your stateroom. Don't be surprised by loud chair scraping noise above you.

Oasis of the Seas Deck 8 (deck) Cabin Guru

Here are some tips that you should keep in mind when looking for cabins on this deck. There may be other issues that we haven't noted, and if you are aware of any issues we have not listed, please contact us and let us know so that we can add it to the list.

* There is a service closet near cabin 8153 and 8553 that can be busy during morning and early evening hours. Cabins near this blank space should be advised.
* Hump balcony cabins (The two areas on each side of the ship where the deck is wider) are considered a prime location. This is because they have larger balconies and good views looking side to side and down from the balcony.
* Boardwalk balconies cabins on this deck are two floors above the boardwalk below. Because they sit lower on the inside of the ship these balconies may not get a lot of direct sun. There could also be noise issues from the Boardwalk, however these can be good people watching balconies. The more aft your cabin is the less enclosed you will feel and you will also have a good view of the Aquatheater. Keep in mind that these balconies are not private and can be viewed by balconies on the opposite side of the ship and also from the balcony of your neighbor.
* Forward facing ocean view cabins have large slanted square window that overlooks the bow of the ship. The higher up your cabin is the less obstructed the bow will feel when viewing the ocean from your cabin.
* Cabins that face the aft of the ship have had reports of soot issues. Soot can be a issue depending on wind and weather.

The cruise line separates the different categories (Inside, Oceanview, Balcony) into subcategories. The only difference in the subcategories is usually location on the ship. The detail above shows subcategory color, category name, and subcategory name. For detailed information, mouse over a cabin on the deck plans and a pop up window will appear. You will find diagrams, pictures and information about that cabin category including square footage and features.

Royal Caribbean has the most complicted and most difficult to understand category coding of all the major cruise lines. Its complicated because some cabins can be classified many different ways, sometimes without rhymn or reason. In some cases they also use the same color to denote two different categories.

They use a number followed by letter to denote the type of cabin. Cabins are ranked from the lowest number first to the highest number and also from the lowest letter first to the highest letter. Therefore a category that begins with 1 is consider a better cabin choice than one that begins with 3. The type of cabin is defined by the letter that appears after the number.

Letter V defines a inside cabin. Letter T defines a promenade view stateroom. A Boardwalk view balcony uses the letters I,J.

Oceanview cabins are defined by letter N. Spacious oceanview cabins by the letter M. Panoramic oceanview cabins are defined with the letters P and L. Letter S defines a boardwalk view cabin.

Spacious balconies are defined by the letter B. Regular balcony cabins use the letter D.
