The cruise line seperates the different categories (Inside, Oceanview, Balcony) into subcategories. The only difference in the subcategories is usually location on the ship. The detail above shows subcategory color, category name, and subcategory name. For detailed information, mouse over a cabin on the deck plans and a pop up window will appear. You will find diagrams, pictures and information about that cabin category including square footage and features.

Royal Caribbean uses a number followed by letter to denote the type of cabin. Cabins are ranked from the lowest number first to the highest number and also from the lowest letter first to the highest letter. Therefore a category that begins with 1 is consider a better cabin choice than one that begins with 3. The type of cabin is defined by the letter that appears after the number.

Letter V defines a inside cabin. Letter T defines a promenade view stateroom. A Boardwalk view balcony uses the letters I,J.

Oceanview cabins are defined by letter N. Spacious oceanview cabins by the letter M. Panoramic oceanview cabins are defined with the letters P and L. Letter S defines a boardwalk view cabin.

Spacious balconies are defined by the letter B. Regular balcony cabins use the letter D.

Here are some tips that you should keep in mind when looking for cabins on this deck. There may be other issues that we haven't noted, and if you are aware of any issues we have not listed, please contact us and let us know so that we can add it to the list.

Deck: Deck 14
* Hump balcony cabins (The two areas on each side of the ship where the deck is wider) are considered a prime location. This is because they have larger balconies and good views looking side to side and down from the balcony.
* Boardwalk balconies cabins on this deck are seven floors above the boardwalk below. They are also underneath the public deck above and may passengers standing on the railing on the deck above across from the cabin can view the balcony. There could also be noise issues from both the deck above and the Boardwalk, however these can be good people watching balconies. The more aft your cabin is the less enclosed you will feel and you will also have a good view of the Aquatheater. Keep in mind that these balconies are not private and can be viewed by balconies on the opposite side of the ship and also from the balcony of your neighbor.
* Central Park balconies on this deck are five decks above central park. Because they are located in the inner part of the ship they will not get a lot of direct sun light. Also the view to the aft of the ship is blocked by the main elevator section. Therefore the view from these balconies is limited to central park below and the sky above. They are also not private and can be viewed by the balconies on the opposite side of the ship as well as from the balcony of your neighbor, as well as from the pool areas on the deck above
* Cabins 14330 and 14730 were added to the ship and have very low ceilings.
* Cabins that face the aft of the ship have had reports of soot issues. Soot can be a issue depending on wind and weather.
* There is a large overhang from the deck above that will shade some of the balcony of cabins on this deck.
