The Celebrity Millennium started sailing in 2000 . Former names: none. The Celebrity Millennium is registered in Valletta, Malta. The Celebrity Millennium has 1079 cabins. 58 percent of the staterooms on board have balconies.

You can expect between 2158 to 2590 passengers on a typical sailing. This means that at the higher number (usually peak and holiday sailings) Celebrity Millennium has a space ratio of 35.1 . (A space ratio less than 33 means that you may find the ship crowded in areas. A space ratio greater than 39 means that there should be plenty of space for each passenger.) When this ship isn't sailing at capacity the space ratio can be as good as 42.1.

The Celebrity Millennium has 997 crew members on board. There are 3 passengers for every crew member on board. There are no self serve laundromats on this cruise ship.

The ship last major refurbishment was in May 2016 .

There are 12 decks on this ship. The highest deck number is 12. The number of decks with passenger cabins is 7.

The following ships share the same class as this ship. This means the basic design and layout of the ship is the same. For the most part the cabins will be identical among these ships, but may be decorated differently.
2000 - Celebrity Millennium
2001 - Celebrity Infinity
2001 - Celebrity Summit
2002 - Celebrity Constellation

There are 26 special needs cabins on this ship. These cabins have been modified for accessibility purposes.

During drydock in May 2012 the ship received 66 brand new cabins, and the introduction of 107 AquaClass cabins onto the ship on this go-round. Other new features include: New verandas for suites, an upgraded basketball court, craft beer in Michael's Club and the introduction of iLounge. The ship also has Wi-Fi throughout, new color schemes, new carpeting, new upholstery and new sun loungers on the pool decks.

During May 2016 dry-dock, the Sun Terrace on the aft of the Sports Deck was converted to the Roof Top Terrace. The new Rooftop Terrace, complete with its large screen, chaise lounges, cabanas, soundscape and decorative lighting, is a modern relaxing backdrop for Celebrity's sumptuous new multisensory experience, "A Taste of Film," which presents films that evoke a specific cultural, culinary or destination experience, paired with cuisine that brings the scenes on the screen to life through guests' taste buds.
Additional dry-dock enhancements included significant renovations of the ship's Penthouse and Royal Suites including new fixtures, marble surfaces, carpeting, drapes and bed linens. Celebrity also converted the Olympic restaurant to Tuscan Grille. The Tuscan Grille is an inspired Italian steakhouse. Plus the Solarium was refreshed with new floors, furniture, pool tops and the spa cafe was also updated.

The cruise line seperates the different categories (Inside, Oceanview, Balcony) into subcategories. The only difference in the subcategories is usually location on the ship. The detail above shows subcategory color, category name, and subcategory name. For detailed information, mouse over a cabin on the deck plans and a pop up window will appear. You will find diagrams, pictures and information about that cabin category including square footage and features.

Celebrity uses a number to define categories. The lower the number the more desirable the category. Interior cabins are numbered 9 to 12. Oceanview cabins are numbered 4 to 8. Veranda staterooms are numbered 1 to 2, but have a letter after the number to further break down the category. The closer the letter is to the beginning of the alphabet, the more desirable the cabin. Therefore a 1A balcony is more desired than a 1C. The only exception is that aft facing balconies are the most desired and have the code SV standing for Sunset Verandah.

Family Verandahs are coded FV. Concierge cabins begin with the letter C followed by a number. Aquaclass cabins begin with the letter A followed by a number. Sky Suites begin with the letter S followed by a number. Celebrity Suite is coded CS. Royal Suite is coded RS. Penthouse Suite is coded PS.
