The Celebrity Eclipse started sailing in 2010 . Former names: none. The Celebrity Eclipse is registered in Valletta, Malta. The Celebrity Eclipse has 1425 cabins. 85 percent of the staterooms on board have balconies.

You can expect between 2850 to 3420 passengers on a typical sailing. This means that at the higher number (usually peak and holiday sailings) Celebrity Eclipse has a space ratio of 35.6 . (A space ratio less than 33 means that you may find the ship crowded in areas. A space ratio greater than 39 means that there should be plenty of space for each passenger.) When this ship isn't sailing at capacity the space ratio can be as good as 42.8.

The Celebrity Eclipse has 1000 crew members on board. There are 3 passengers for every crew member on board. There are no self serve laundromats on this cruise ship.

The ship last major refurbishment was in Apr 2015 .

There are 15 decks on this ship. The highest deck number is 16. The number of decks with passenger cabins is 8.

The following ships share the same class as this ship. This means the basic design and layout of the ship is the same. For the most part the cabins will be identical among these ships, but may be decorated differently.
2008 - Celebrity Solstice
2009 - Celebrity Equinox
2010 - Celebrity Eclipse
2011 - Celebrity Silhouette
2012 - Celebrity Reflection

There are 30 special needs cabins on this ship. These cabins have been modified for accessibility purposes.

Since Celebrity Eclipse® joined our fleet in 2010, she has dazzled and amazed even the most well-traveled cruisers. Like her Solstice® Class sisters before her, she showcases spectacular vistas with 85% of all staterooms having sweeping veranda views.

Celebrity Eclipse hosts Qsine®, a dining venue with a unique and playful approach to familiar dishes from around the world, and Celebrity iLoungeSM, a hip, modern Internet café offering guests what they have asked for—easy access to the Internet, inspiring classes and latest tech gadgets.

Add the fresh green grass on the top deck's Lawn Club and the incredibly pampering services in AquaSpa®, and you may never want to set foot on land again.

During Drydock in 2015, Celebrity added GastroBar in place of Cellar Masters.

The cruise line seperates the different categories (Inside, Oceanview, Balcony) into subcategories. The only difference in the subcategories is usually location on the ship. The detail above shows subcategory color, category name, and subcategory name. For detailed information, mouse over a cabin on the deck plans and a pop up window will appear. You will find diagrams, pictures and information about that cabin category including square footage and features.

Celebrity uses a number to define categories. The lower the number the more desirable the category. Interior cabins are numbered 9 to 12. Oceanview cabins are numbered 4 to 8. Veranda staterooms are numbered 1 to 2, but have a letter after the number to further break down the category. The closer the letter is to the beginning of the alphabet, the more desirable the cabin. Therefore a 1A balcony is more desired than a 1C. The only exception is that aft facing balconies are the most desired and have the code SV standing for Sunset Verandah.

Family Verandahs are coded FV. Concierge cabins begin with the letter C followed by a number. Aquaclass cabins begin with the letter A followed by a number. Sky Suites begin with the letter S followed by a number. Celebrity Suite is coded CS. Royal Suite is coded RS. Penthouse Suite is coded PS.
