You can expect 2866 passengers on a typical sailing. This means that the Norwegian Jewel has a space ratio of 32.6 . (A space ratio less than 33 means that you may find the ship crowded in areas. A space ratio greater than 39 means that there should be plenty of space for each passenger.)
The Norwegian Jewel has 1100 crew members on board. There are 3 passengers for every crew member on board. There are no self serve laundromats on this cruise ship. The ship has 3 pools and 6 hot tubs.
Other Features

We loved the sports court (deck 13-AFT). It's a fun place to run around, kick a soccer ball, or do whatever you like for some exercise. The reason I mention such an obvious place is because the space seemed hugely underused, possibly because people think it's reserved for tennis or basketball only. Our little kids loved the freedom of the open space, the feeling of the rubberized decking under bare feet and the full surround netting, which keeps balls (and kids) nicely contained.
Here is a video of Garden Villa 14000:
Cabin 8054: Great cabin! There is basically a boat the size of a large Boston Whaler outside the window, not a full sized lifeboat. Great view. But crew members were working in and around this boat frequently, and they did actually put this boat in the water at one Caribbean port, so you did have to be mindful of that when changing clothes or exiting the shower. Good deal though and a nice location!
Cabin 8584 - This cabin does not have a picture window. It has two small, elongaged portholes. There is virtually no view (except the lifeboats)
It's my understanding that the first 3 cabins on each side (8050,8052, 8054, 8550,8552,8554) are completely unobstructed on the Jewel, although there's a small boat underneath the window (or something). The category G cabins farther aft on both sides are 100% obstructed.
Cabin 11649 The painting on the wall was vibrating and shaking so hard, it fell off the wall! When laying on the bed, your whole body shook. It was the strangest thing ever. I've NEVER experienced this with ANY other room. I called down to tell them, and they said to wait and someone would be there to check it out. 25 minutes later the supervisor called and said that "yeah, that room has issues and will be very loud"
I just found out I have a hull balcony. Cabin 10006 on the jewel. Is this not a good cabin? What is a hull cabin? Should I think about asking for a change to a regular balcony? Thank-You
You can see the Hull balconies in this picture. It just means that it is enclosed in metal. It will give you more privacy then a regular balcony.
